We here at CURE@UGA have decided that it would be awesome to let everyone know what some of our members are up to over the break! Pictured above are two Cure at UGA members, Katie Rae Spell and Amanda Beans at the Cure International & Dance 4 Kids Who Can’t (D4K) booth at the Ichthus Festival in Wilmore, KY (June 15-18.) Our baller advisor/guru/go-to, Kyle Warmington, also attended this awesome event!
Kyle picked up the girls from the airport in Columbus, and the crew drove straight to Kentucky. At the Festival they were able to get 17 child sponsorship commitments for dance events to raise $1,000 each. The three also handed out CUREkids cards to passerbys and met with hundreds of young people, spreading Cure’s awesome mission to as many people as possible! Kyle, Katie Rae and Amanda also got 56 other names interested in having Cure follow-up with them to see if we can work to start a dance at their school, town or church.
“CURE AT UGA was a great discussion piece as we look to find more college students who are interested and willing to start an on-campus organization at their campus and learn from what CURE AT UGA is doing.” -Kyle Warmington
Such awesome news, God is good! Make sure to look for more updates about some of the awesome things our members are doing this summer!
